Accommodations

Lions Camp Dorset has a wide variety of units available for visitors. The cottages and efficiency units are fully equipped. However, guests must bring their own bedding, towels and food for the week. As there is no television reception, guests may want to bring a portable DVD player. There is a TV with DVD in the gathering room of the Community Centre only.

14 Cottages

(Prices for Dialysis Families only) | $452/week (based on 6 people)*

Every cottage is equipped with:

  • Three bedrooms (double/twin size beds)

  • A living room

  • 3 or 4 piece bathroom

  • A well-equipped kitchen

Some cottages have a deck. Each has a picnic table with either lawn chairs or Muskoka chairs. The cottages are designed for family use to ensure the entire family can spend their holiday together.

15 Efficiency Units

(Prices for Dialysis Families only)$282.50/week (based on 2 people OR a family unit i.e. Mother, Father & 2 small children)*

The efficiency units are essentially self-contained bachelor apartments.

They contain:

  • A three-piece bathroom equipped with a wheelchair friendly shower enclosure

  • A kitchenette with fridge, stove, microwave and all necessary eating and cooking utensils

  • A living room area; and a double or twin beds

  • Units have radiant in-floor heating

There are garden doors that open out to a patio walkway equipped with lawn chairs. These units are designed for singles or couples.

Trailer & Camping Spaces (with hookups)

(Prices for Dialysis Families only) $169.50/week **

Available Amenities:

  • These sites all have electrical and water hookups, with 1 dump station nearby.

  • Each site has a picnic table and fire pit.

  • Fire wood is available for a low cost in our tuck shop.

The campground area also has its own washroom and shower facilities that have been rebuilt the Spring of 2011.

Off Season Rentals

All off season rentals are booked directly through the camp manager. This includes mid September (after dialysis season) to June 1

Guest fees for cottages and efficiencies (a maximum of 2 Guests allowed per unit, maximum of 8 persons per cottage and 4 per efficiencies.) *Prices are for Guests of Dialysis Patients ONLY.

  • Anyone 13 and older $28.00/person/day to a maximum of $140.00/person/week

  • Children 12 and younger *No charge

  • Guests of Dialysis Patients staying in a Tent/Trailer site are charged $10.00/day or $50.00/week. (Prices for Dialysis Families only)

  • Those Clients unable to cover the cost of accommodation can approach their Renal Social Worker to obtain assistance through The Kidney Foundation Patient Assistance Program.
