Treatment Questions

What time do I come for dialysis?

The Confirmation and Needs Form has a section for you to request time in advance of your arrival. You will be given your scheduled time at check in on Sunday. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee your requested time.

Can my family members visit me during dialysis?

Yes, we encourage family members to visit the clinic during dialysis treatments.

Will I feel comfortable dialyzing here?

We understand the anxiety you may feel dialyzing in a different environment, away from your home unit. That is why we offer the tour of the unit to you and your family members when you arrive. It is also one of the reasons why Camp Dorset has an open door policy to your family members while you’re on dialysis.

Activity Questions

What do I bring to the “Pot Luck” Dinner?

We provide hot dogs…You provide your favourite dish to share. Don’t want hot dogs? Bring an alternate dish for yourself.

How does bingo work?

Forget about that dream retirement ’cause we don’t offer cash prizes! Instead, everyone brings a small gift for the prize table (i.e.: nothing that costs over a tooney!)

Did you know? …

For the week that you stay with us, your area Kidney Foundation Chapter donates $200.00 to Camp Dorset to help cover our operating costs.
